Wellrun information
AI and your records, as it stands today
Wellrun does not use AI at the moment. Nothing you type into Wellrun and nothing you upload to it is sent to a model, by us or by anybody else. There is no assistant in the product, there is no screen that calls one, and there is no setting that turns one on.
What does "Look for dates in this PDF" do, and is it AI?
It is not AI, and it sends nothing. On the Licences and Insurance and the Premises screens, when you choose a PDF, such as a certificate of currency, a licence or a lease, Wellrun can read the words in it in your browser, on your own device, and list the dates printed next to words like expiry, valid until, period of insurance, renewal, end date and option, each with the words around it. You choose which date, if any, goes into which field. Nothing is filled in until you tap it.
The words are read by pdf.js, the PDF reader Mozilla makes for Firefox, running in your browser. The dates are found by fixed patterns written into Wellrun, not by a model. The PDF and its words are not sent anywhere, by us or by anybody else, and nothing about them is kept once you close the screen. The first time you use it your browser downloads the reader from wellrun.com.au, the same way it downloads every other part of the site. A scanned PDF is a picture of a page with no words in it, and Wellrun does not try to read pictures: it says so, and you type the date in.
What did this page say before, and why was it wrong?
Until 15 September 2026 this page set out what was and was not sent to a named model provider, and said the same thing appeared on the screen where you would use it. No such screen has ever shipped. The route redirects, the components are not reachable from anywhere in the product, and nothing is deployed that could send anything anywhere. The page was written while a feature was being built and it was never withdrawn when the feature was not finished. A data promise about something that does not exist is worse than no page at all, because it is the page a reader would rely on.
What happens if that changes?
This page changes first, before anything is sent, and it will say three things: exactly what is sent, which model and which provider it goes to, and on which screen. The same three things will be on that screen, beside the control that does it. Nothing is switched on quietly, and nothing is switched on by default.
What could a model never decide here?
This part does not change with the answer above. Nothing in Wellrun, whether a person, a rule or a model, makes a legal, tax, HR, employment, financial, AML/CTF or appraisal decision, and nothing decides whether a business meets an obligation. Nothing shares, deletes or releases your records unless you choose it.
Who do I ask about this?
