For accountants, bookkeepers, brokers and trade associations

Your clients' records, without the email chain.

Wellrun is bought by the owner. If you advise owners of trade and service businesses, this is what it means for you, and what it does not do.

7 days free, no card. Fill in three sections and you get 7 more. If you choose a plan, from $39 plus GST a month, renewing until you cancel.

Where it helps, by who you are

Accountants and bookkeepers

At year end, and every time you chase a client for a document.

Your client gives you the free seat. You open the documents in the sections they tick, from your own login, and the email chain of attachments stops.

How the free seat works

Business brokers

When an owner first asks what their business might need before a sale.

An owner can start recording now and issue a dated sale pack when they decide to sell. The pack is theirs to print for you, or to share with you by name for 7, 14 or 30 days, and you get one email with a read-only link. Wellrun never values a business and never passes anything to a broker.

Insurance brokers

At renewal, when you ask for the asset list and the certificates.

Policies, renewal dates, vehicles and plant with their serials are recorded in one place by the owner, so the answer to your renewal questions is already written down.

What owners record

Trade associations

When members ask about licences, renewals and handing a business on.

Members record each licence with the state it belongs to and what happens to it on a sale, in their own words. The guide sets out who issues what in every state.

Licences when you sell, state by state

The free seat

One seat for the accountant, free for the life of the account.

One seat beside yours stays free for as long as your account is open. It is there for your accountant or bookkeeper. Once a year you confirm they should still have it, which is one tap and costs nothing. The yearly confirmation is there so a free seat cannot quietly stay open at a firm you stopped using years ago.

An accountant or bookkeeper who holds a seat from more than one client sees every one of those businesses in one list, Your clients, under their own login, and it costs them nothing. Each row names the business, the sections that client opened to them, when the owner next confirms the seat, when they last opened it and whether it is paused, and one tap opens it.

  • People is never available to an outside adviser, whatever you turn on. Those are your employees' records, and nobody asked them whether an outsider could read them. It is refused by the database, not by a setting you could talk yourself past.
  • The seat runs twelve months at a time. Confirm it once a year in one tap, at no cost, or it ends by itself. If nobody uses it for ninety days it suspends itself, and the pause is listed on Your team.
  • Switching a seat off is one tap and it takes effect immediately. Pause it and you can switch it back on exactly as it was.
  • Every change to who can see what, and every document added, is recorded with the date and the time, and nothing in the product can edit or remove that record.

What Wellrun will not do for you, or to your client

Wellrun is bought and run by the owner. Your accountant, your broker or a buyer sees nothing unless you give them a seat, hand them the sale pack yourself or share it with them by name, and Wellrun passes nothing to any broker.

Once a pack is issued, you can share it with one person you name: a broker, an accountant, a buyer's adviser or a buyer. You choose 7, 14 or 30 days and tick a box naming them, and nothing is shared without that tick. They get one email with a link to the pack, read only and printable, and nothing else from your records. You see each time it is opened and can stop the link at any time. Sharing is never a default and never a condition of a plan, a discount or the free seat.

Wellrun was built by Tony Pope, who also works as a business broker. You can share with any broker you choose, or none. Nobody is told you use Wellrun unless you share. Wellrun never values a business. Any appraisal is the broker's own service.

It never tells anyone what a business is worth, never adds up anyone's figures and never states a legal, tax or compliance conclusion. Those stay with you.
