What you already pay for

You already pay for four or five of these. Here is the bit none of them ask about.

Xero and MYOB are built around your numbers, job software around jobs, payroll around people, and Dropbox holds whatever you put in it. Wellrun holds the facts none of them ask you to write down: whose name each account, licence, vehicle and policy is in.

7 days free, no card. Fill in three sections and you get 7 more. If you choose a plan, from $39 plus GST a month, renewing until you cancel.

Side by side

What each one is built around

Keep every one of them. Wellrun sits alongside and replaces none of it.

Accounting software, such as Xero or MYOB

Your numbers: invoices, bills, payroll and the books.

Job management software

Your jobs: quotes, scheduling, job cards and invoicing the work.

Payroll and rostering

Pay runs, timesheets and who is on when.

Safety and inspection apps

Site checks, incidents and the forms done on the job.

Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive

Whatever files you decide to put in, filed the way you invent.

Wellrun

Whose name each licence, policy, vehicle and account is in, where the reset code goes, the dates on each one, and whether each one comes with the business on a sale.

Four questions about your own business

See how many you can answer without ringing someone.

Whose name is the alarm monitoring account actually in?
Nothing you already pay for asks you.
Wellrun asks, line by line.
Where does the reset code go if that person leaves tomorrow?
Nothing you already pay for asks you.
Wellrun asks, line by line.
Have you ever got a copy of your own data out of the system that holds it?
Nothing you already pay for asks you.
Wellrun asks, line by line.
When does the option on your lease close?
Nothing you already pay for asks you, and the date does not move.
Wellrun asks, line by line.

You never type a password into Wellrun: it records whose name the account is in and where the reset code goes. It does not connect to Xero or MYOB and never adds up a column of your figures.

What you already pay for

  • Xero or MYOB

    Holds your numbers

  • ServiceM8 or Tradify

Holds your quotes, jobs and invoices

  • Deputy or Employment Hero

Holds your rosters and your payroll

  • Dropbox or Drive

    Holds your files

No connection, in either direction

Wellrun

What the business holds, whose name each account is in, and the dates you wrote down

It does not connect to Xero or MYOB, does not read your numbers, and never adds up a column of your figures.

How it is laid out

Twelve sections. Never an empty folder.

Already named. Five are registers you fill in line by line; the other seven open with a short checklist and one first task. A shoebox and a Dropbox folder fail the same way. They make you invent the filing system first. Here it is done.

What one line looks like

Each field is a question somebody taking over would ask.

One line in the Systems and Logins register

Alarm monitoring

What is it called
Alarm monitoring
What is it?
What the business uses it for
Yard and office alarm
Why does the business have it?
Whose name is the account in
A person. Dave
Does it survive that person leaving?
Where a reset code goes
Dave's mobile
Can anybody else get back in?
Where you sign in
The monitoring company's site
Where does a new manager go?
What happens on a sale
Only Dave can approve changes
Does it transfer to a buyer?

A register is one line per thing, with the same fields every time. 5 of the 12 sections are registers.

Handed back

A count, not a mark. Your dates, not a verdict.

A count, not a mark

Wellrun counts what you hold: nine of eleven. No score, no percentage and no traffic light, because a colour is an opinion and a count is a fact.

The owner's home screen on a phone. It counts the documents held out of eleven, names one document to do next, and reports how many systems are recorded in a person's name.
The home screen counts what is held and names one document, not a list of eleven.

Your dates, handed back

Record a date once and Wellrun shows how many days away it is. Once a week, on the day you choose, it emails you the dates that come up next. Add one link and they sit in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar too.

The reminders screen, showing the calendar subscription panel and a list of recorded dates with how many days away each one is.
The dates already recorded, with how far away each one is, and one link that puts them in the calendar the owner already opens.

Every screen on this page is the real product, filled in with Coastal Works Pty Ltd, a business we invented. Nothing in these pictures is a real business or a real record.
